Curious Bedfellows

Pet Roundup: The Podlings: King & Queen Floret

“Curious Bedfellows”

The Podlings have the same set of abilities and perform a basic tag-team attack against you. One of them will use their long-CD ability, cast a buff on the other, and then swap places. Then it’s just filler abilities until they can do it again. The key is to counter the big burst rounds and make the best of your windows of opportunity in between them.

My lineup:

Arctic Hare (s/b) (Flurry, Dodge, Stampede)

Pandaren Water Elemental (h/s) (Water Jet, Whirlpool, Geyser)

Arctic Fox Kit (p/s) (Flurry, Howl, Dazzling Dance)

Note: I don’t know that breed matters, but this is what I used.

My Strategy:

Start with the Hare.

  1. Dodge.
  2. Stampede. (Round 1/3)
  3. Stampede. (Round 2/3)
  4. Stampede. (Round 3/3) Your hare should die here.
  5. Bring in your Elemental. Water Jet.
  6. Water Jet.
  7. Water Jet.
  8. Geyser.
  9. Whirlpool. Your Elemental should die here.
  10. Swap to your Fox. Howl.
  11. Flurry. (Repeat until victory.)

If your elemental dies early, use Flurry on round 9. Geyser on Round 8 is very important. Queen Floret will use Righteous Inspiration as soon as it comes off CD, so you want the stun to line up and negate the buffed attack. If the timing doesn’t work out, try again.

Don’t panic at the end. You will be low on health, but should out-speed Queen Floret (Except for the round when she is stunned, so no worries, there) and squeak out the win.
