Hello, there, loyal readers. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve done one of these posts. As you probably know, I love add-ons, and when I find one I like I just love to share it.
This one is called GTFO, and yes, it is exactly what it sounds like. This handy little add-on plays an audio warning when you are taking avoidable damage (such as standing in a void zone). In fact, there is a unique audio warning for each of 4 categories, including one to alert you to one that you are currently in, and one for an ability that you should have avoided but didn’t. It’s everything you need to help you GTFO of the bad.
I’ve been testing it out lately and it has been very useful, even for someone used to having DBM. It alerts you to some damaging effects that DBM does not cover, allowing you to avoid some abilities that fall through the cracks if you rely solely on DBM. Additionally, the standard handling of void zones by GTFO is to play an audio warning the entire time you are standing in something, making it harder to miss and thus more likely that you will move sooner.
I’ve found it particularly useful in Hellfire Citadel, as there are several trash or boss mechanics that are missed by DBM or handled better by GTFO. I also found it useful on Zaela during CM runs, since it can be hard to tell if you’re in the fire without it (the graphic doesn’t quite match the damage area).
